For the second of four shows in this series, these four groundbreaking artists from Johannesburg, South Africa, are highlighted: David Goldblatt, until his death iin 2018, used his camera to chronicle events during apartheid. Nicholas Hlobo uses art to explore issues of sexuality and ethnicity in South African culture. Zanele Muholi creates work that asserts the presence of South AfricaÕs historically marginalized and discriminated LGBTI community. Robin Rhode uses urban walls as his canvas where he puts static images into motion.
